Troubleshooting connecting to nodes and syncing

I’m using the CLI wallet with the tag --remote to connect and sync. It worked prior. It’s stopped working.

Terminal is showing in green:

dero1qyd 0/0 0.00000 >>>

Balance doesn’t show. And doesn’t sync.

I’ve tried different VPNs as well as a direct connection.

Nothing has changed. I have the latest CLI. It just won’t connect.

Any ideas?

Have you tried again recently? The default remote node was down for a bit the other day.

There’s also other nodes you can utilize such as node.derofoundation.org:11012 etc., Few references about. Or better yet, run your own node for maximum privacy. Can get a node running quickly with --fastsync using the derod binary.
