Download latest binary from https://github.com/deroproject/download
Download blockchain DB and unzip in mainnet folder http://seeds.dero.io/blockchain/derod_database.db.zip For 64-bit/amd64 systems only. For 32-bit/x86 systems sync from scratch.

What has been happening? Why should I download the DB again?

You are on wrong chain, few users/attackers kept mining on wrong chain with repetitive warnings and instructions .

I am also having the same problem. Do I need to erase derod_leveldb_database.db and only leave derod_database.db ?

I have the latest binaries. Do I need to unzip that file in mainnet folder or in mainnet/derod_leveldb_database.db folder?

In mainnet folder please, confirm copy and replace :slight_smile:

Unfortunately there is nothing to replace. I only have this (derod_leveldb_database) folder in the mainnet folder which contains the logs and so on. there is nothing to replace.

ok, I unzipped it there. As far as I can see, it is just a .db file of 4GB. I reopened derod and I am waiting to see if it passes block 68713.

ok, I downloaded the latest windows version. It appears to be the same thing, only that it doesn’t say to update to a newer verison, anymore…

Please close daemon, clear all contents of mainnet folder, then extract derod_database.db.zip to mainnet folder, then run daemon again and wait for few minutes to see if it will start syncing.

it began syncing from block 1. Can I import a wallet from the older version? I was already mining to an address.

Yes you can import the wallet.

You can either leave it to sync, or follow my procedure above.

I am trying to follow your advice Mojo. Sorry for being such a noob. But it does not work. I unzip the file in the mainnet folder, but the daemon ignores it. It creates a new folder called derod_leveldb_database.db, which is a folder btw and it does not use derod_database.db at all. The unziped file is not perceived as a folder by my PC. I tried to copy this last file into derod_leveldb_database.db to see what happens. And the daemon ignores it again.

I also tried to rename the unzipped file with the name of the folder the daemon is creating. It still ignores it.

I am using windows version, btw.

It does seem weird. Anyway on new version it would sync normally from the start, but will take longer time.

Leave it to sync for few hours, and check back later.
